Durable titanium spoon for camping

Long spoons are good for stirring things while camping. And this spoon's titanium construction makes you want to hold it and look at it, and assures you that it'll be around for the long haul. That's pretty rare for a spoon. Highly recommend!

The Unsung Hero of My Kitchen Kit

I accidentally left my entire backpacking kitchen kit at home before a trip, so this spoon was a same-day emergency purchase. It turned out to be one of the best surprises of the trip. It reached every last stubborn bite hiding in a tuna pouch, shoveled hearty spoonfuls of morning oatmeal, and stirred my coffee with just the right amount of finesse. Despite being wedged into my heavily cinched backpack, it never bent or twisted. The included pouch is just right for wiping down my camp pot, cup, and—naturally—the spoon itself. Did everything I ask of it without complaint.

Durable spoon for meals on the go

I’m a freelance photographer and spend long days shooting in remote locations. Having a reliable spoon for my instant noodle meals is a lifesaver, and this titanium one is both durable and compact. The case fits nicely in my camera bag’s side pocket, so I never have to dig through gear. I’ve used it in temperatures ranging from 30 °F in the desert at night to 90 °F on a summer hike, and it never warps or gets sticky. The length is perfect for reaching the bottom of the metal can when I’m in a hurry. Cleaning is a breeze - a quick rinse and a wipe, and it’s ready for the next meal. It’s also surprisingly quiet, which is great when I’m trying not to disturb wildlife. Overall, it’s become an essential part of my field kit.

Lightweight and versatile for kayaking

My family went on a three‑day kayaking adventure and each of us got a spoon. The drawstring pouch kept them from floating away, and the lightweight design meant they didn’t add any extra weight to our dry bags. I love that the spoon is strong enough for both soup and a quick stir of our camp‑cooked quinoa. After the trip I washed it with a toothbrush and it still looks brand‑new. It’s also small enough to slip into my daughter’s school lunchbox for a quick snack at recess. We’re already planning to bring it on next summer’s mountain trek.

Compact and handy for travel

I travel a lot for work and try to eat healthier on the road. This spoon fits in my carry‑on and the case doubles as a tiny storage bag for sugar packets. I used it on a train in Italy to stir a bowl of risotto and it performed beautifully. The titanium doesn’t leave a metallic taste, which is a relief.

Strong and convenient for daily lunches

I’m a high‑school teacher and often bring homemade lunches to the staff lounge. This spoon slides into my backpack’s side pocket, so I never have to dig for a plastic utensil that melts in the sun. The titanium is surprisingly strong - I dropped it on concrete once and it didn’t bend. The drawstring pouch keeps it from getting lost among my papers, and it’s easy to wipe clean after a cheesy pasta. I’ve even used it to stir my coffee during a late‑night grading session; the heat doesn’t affect it at all. The 8.5‑inch length is just right for both soups and stir‑fries. It’s also become my go‑to for the occasional outdoor faculty retreat where we cook on a portable stove. My students have asked where I got it, and I’m happy to recommend it. Bottom line: it’s a tiny piece of gear that makes my daily routine smoother.

Held up well on a beach picnic

Used it on a weekend beach picnic and it held up to salty soup without any trouble. The case survived a tumble in the sand. Love it.

Great for travel and hotel meals

First time I used the Hiker's Gold spoon was on a business trip to Denver where I stayed at a budget motel. I unpacked my portable coffee kit and the spoon was perfect for stirring instant oatmeal in the tiny kitchenette. The titanium feels premium, and the case tucked neatly into my suitcase without taking up space. I also appreciated the neutral look; it doesn’t scream “camping gear,” so I could leave it on the hotel desk without feeling embarrassed. After a few days of use it still looked brand‑new, no scratches or dents. It’s also a conversation starter - a coworker asked where I got it and now she’s got one too. I’m packing it for my next conference.

Excellent spoon for long hikes

I took this spoon on a week‑long thru‑hike in the Sierras and barely noticed it in my pack. The drawstring case keeps it from rattling around, and it’s sturdy enough for boiling water over a camp stove. I love that it fits in the side pocket of my hiking vest without adding any bulk. It’s also surprisingly easy to clean after a day of eating dehydrated meals. Definitely a small upgrade that makes a big difference on long treks.

Lightweight and functional

It’s light and does what it’s supposed to do. The only thing I would like in addition is if the spoon portion was polished but that’s a minor thing.

The only utensil you need while camping

This is the only utensil you need while camping. The flat edge makes cooking and scraping a pot or pan a breeze because you can easily reach the edges of the bottom surface. Easy to clean, durable, and ultralight.

Good spoon

Light weight, yet feels super strong. Great price. I would have preferred a polished bowl, but for this price, it can be overlooked. I may try to polish it myself with a rotary tool, but I haven't ever polished titanium before.

Long handle, but bends with thick foods

IMO, it's a little too thin and bends easily if your stirring something THICK. It does have an extra long handle, and bends back easily. Bowl is smallerish, so maybe not good for ramen, but should get a big scoop of goulash. Overall, I'm satisfied. It's a decent lightweight and corrosion proof option for my travels

Good spoon!!!

No more nasty hands reaching into the slimy prison wallet of an open mtn house!! This spoon, like me, digs deep and gets the job done. Pretty sure you could use it as a weapon, screwdriver, or even chase away near sighted squirrels
